About Ailie

Hello! I’m Ailie

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hi! My name is Ailie (pronounced like Haley without the H). I am a licensed clinical social worker with 5 and a half years working at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital before entering private practice. I have extensive experience treating a wide variety of symptoms and problems with the use of multiple therapeutic modalities.

Having specialized in crisis care, I am ready to help sort through whatever life is throwing at you. In therapy I will recognize the human in you and create a safe space to be witnessed exactly as you are. I can meet you where you’re at and get you to the place where you deserve to be. I am currently providing tele-health therapy to adults and seniors. I can’t wait to be your teammate!

A little about me: I enjoy traveling, fitness, being outdoors, and a good Netflix binge. I also love spending time with my friends and family.  I’m a therapist who goes to my own therapy; I love to grow myself as a human which allows me to show up for you. I really try to grow house plants too, but hey nobody’s perfect!

My Approach & Values

Selecting the name for this practice was not hard. Being You reflects the values and philosophy of the therapy sessions you can expect. I approach our sessions by exploring being comfortable with the unique person you are. Together we develop tools to help present that special person to friends, family, colleagues and strangers. We explore the reasons that cause you to believe that Being You is not enough.

I approach care by helping you to live your healthiest and fullest life, connecting with your core values and loving your uniquely authentic self.

Being You is Enough. I look forward to getting started on your exciting journey.

Older Teens

Navigating the stages of claiming independence, developing healthy friendships, making good choices and being comfortable in your own changing skin is a lot to handle at once. With social media intensifying all the normal complexities of growing up, finding a safe place to talk can help you as you begin to conquer your increasingly complex lives.

Young Adults

Adults are balancing a lot of stressors. Whether you are a new adult navigating the art of “adulting” for the first time or a rather experienced adult who still feels like adulting is an overwhelming experience, counseling provides a safe place to unpack and process. Just because you are an adult doesn’t mean that you have it all together. There’s a lot that we can process together.

Older Adults

Just like every stage of life, getting older has both beauty and challenges. Aging can come with new limitations, pain, illnesses or ailments and losses that can lead to difficult emotions, such as frustration, anger, sadness and loneliness. Therapy offers tools to help you continue or to regain your quality of life while living alongside your changing life challenges.
